Tree planting

Yesterday Room 2 got to go tree planting. When we got there I was so excited.
Me and Gracie buddied up. The first tree we planted was very exciting because I got to dig a hole and put the plant in.
Me and Gracie planted about 13 or 14 trees. We had so much fun that I felt like I could plant all day.
I hope we get to go tree planting again!

Cake!

Last week was my birthday. Me and my mum baked two cakes to share with the class.  One of the cakes had Spongebob drawn on it and the other one was a chocolate cake. 
Near the end of the day we got to eat the cake. We ate it at the end of the day because Dave forgot all about it!
When me and Ruby brought the cake out everybody rushed to us because they wanted to eat it. I'm proud of my mum because she makes the best cakes in the whole world!

Mouse

A few days ago we got three mice from Natureland. Stella got to go with Dave to get the mice because when we held a vote for who to go with Dave to Natureland she got the most votes. After lunch when we all rushed into the classroom everybody was gathering around the cage that we got for the mice because the mice were in their cage and everybody really wanted to see them. After all the work we'd done  looking up information about mice I was so excited about the mice because we had actual mice in our class - so cute.........  Anyway I was also very scared that I wouldn't be able to bring the mice home because my mum is scared of mice.

The next day I brought a piece of paper that says that I'm allowed to bring the mice home in the weekends. I was so excited. That is my mice story.

Four Square

"What do you want to do Lydia?" I asked her. We both knew what I would say.

"Four square", we said at the same time.

Some people might not know how to play four square. Well I'll tell you how to.

Four square is a game for people who don't like to run around.

You need:

A ball -  one that's bouncy,

Squares - 9 to 12 would do,

9 to 12 people.

Now all you do is choose a person to be king. King is best to be in the middle of the squares. First king serves the ball by carefully patting the ball. Then you keep patting it to one another. People can get out by double bounces which is when the ball bounces in your square more than once. If you get out then you go to the lowest square.

Banana

My interview with a banana. I'm going to ask a banana  a few............ questions.

Me: Hi banana.

Banana: First it's Mr.Banana to you and secondly I have to go.

Me: Wait! Before you go can I ask you a few questions?

Banana: OK, but you better be quick.

Me: I'll be quick. Let's get right into it then. 
Banana: What was that? I fell asleep.

Me: I said let's get right into it. First question: how do you like being a banana?

Banana: I'm not a banana; I'm the prime minister of bananas.

Me: You're what?   But but but I thought you were a banana.

Prime Minister: Well you thought wrong didn't you?

Me: I'll see you later then. I'm going to interview a real banana.

And that was my interview with Mr. Prime Minister.

The Crash!

"Bye Lawson", I said. We had a great time at Rainbow Ski Field, but then my mum told my dad that the chains were coming off. Just then the car skided on the snow!!! The front smashed against the rocks. Me and my sister were so scared that when my dad said to get out of the car we did it almost immediately. A couple of minutes later we were in the parking lot again. My mum's friend Lawson who was a staff there came over to help us and told us that someone was going to help us down the hill. That was the coolest trip to Rainbow Ski ever and will always be!

Term 3 Goals

 My goals for term 3 are.....

1. Finish my reading contracts quicker by doing more writing than illustration.

2. Get a new homework book this term by doing more homework every night.

3. Ask questions when I need help.

4. Get onto pen in my written language book by writing more neatly.

5. Get 36 5 times in a row in 36 facts by improving my maths.
